Designed in collaboration with Vanguard Theory, this artwork blends traditional Japanese art with Hawaii’s natural beauty. It reflects the Pagoda’s historic Asian aesthetic and rich legacy as a destination for both locals and travelers.
Look closely and you’ll spot local flora and fauna, the Koʻolau mountains, and a Great Blue Heron. Like the hotel guests, this non-native bird is a traveler passing through paradise, mingling with kamaʻāina, carrying an ʻōhiʻa branch souvenir on its way home.
