There was a theory in centuries past, that every land animal had an equivalent in the ocean…

Inspired by the enchanting chimeric sea monsters from medieval 16 -17th century seafaring maps, I created my own whimsical set of sea creatures for this special print collaboration. This design encourages you to step outside of the ordinary into a fabulous world inhabited by imaginative characters influenced by my everyday life and adventures as an ocean swimmer in Hawaii.

This shirt honors Hawaii's legacy for ocean sports, whether you are on a board or submerged in water it’s always good to be aware of fins! This design is inspired by the my ocean swimming adventures where I share the water with surfers, free divers and marine creatures alike. My propensity to identify everything around me is evident in the labelling of the various fins that can be seen in the waters around Hawaii and beyond.
